A year after being 30% down, my portfolio has finally broke even.
I know this is nothing to shout about. Many people have done well in this type of market recovery.
But imagine. 30% in a year. And my portfolio is significantly larger now than it was a year ago.
Nobody knows where the stock market will go from here. With ongoing global vaccination exercises, people are optimistic of a quick recovery and this has already been reflected in the upward trajectory of the market.
For me, I stand ready to take advantage of any correction. I am also ready to re-jig my positions to make my portfolio more resilient going forward. That means paring down SIA, oil stocks, bank stocks etc whenever the opportunities arise.
My Berkshire/ETF basket is now 25% of my portfolio. My aim is to make it 50%.
Let’s see what happens next.
